ironkids

Does your child like to swim, run, or ride a bike?

If so, I want to share with you an incredible opportunity for your students. IRONKIDS is an organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle through exercise.

The IRONKIDS’ Mission: “TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOUTH THROUGH SPORT TO LEAD AN ACTIVE, POSITIVE, AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.”

The IRONKIDS competition will be held in Alpharetta on September 12th. Several Carmel Students already compete at this event and have gone on to compete at the National Level. The events are as follows.

AGE DIVISIONS
Distances for the IronKids Triathlon will vary, depending on the age of participants:

  • Junior (ages 6 to 8): 50-yard swim, 2-mile bike and 500-yard run
  • Intermediate (ages 9 to 11): 150-yard swim, 4-mile bike and 1-mile run
  • Senior (ages 12 to 15): 300-yard swim, 8-mile bike and 2-mile run

This is a great organization that promotes health and wellness for kids. If your student will be participating, please inform Coach Arnold or Andrew Everest.  We are thinking of creating a TEAM CARMEL shirt.
